Her Journey: From Finance to Climate Tech

Natalie Lung began her career in investment banking — a high-pressure world where growth was measured in numbers and success was often detached from purpose. But beneath the spreadsheets and fast-paced deals, Natalie felt a pull toward something more meaningful. That pull led her to Brinc, a global venture accelerator where she now leads the Climate Tech vertical.

Today, she works at the intersection of entrepreneurship, sustainability, and impact, helping early-stage climate startups scale their innovations across Asia and beyond.

The Turning Point

For Natalie, the turning point came when she realized that climate tech is about building tangible solutions that serve communities and create long-term value. At Brinc, she began working hands-on with founders, guiding them through commercialization, partnership development, and investor readiness.

“This is not a space for quick wins,” she says. “It’s for those who are resilient, who pivot fast, and who stay committed to the long journey.”

Her Mission Today

At Brinc, Natalie is shaping the future of climate innovation. From agri-food tech to carbon capture, industrial decarbonization, it’s also about building viable, scalable businesses that thrive in the real world.

“We’re not just looking for sustainability for sustainability’s sake,” Natalie explains. “It has to make business sense. If we want to see real adoption, the solution must be both impactful and commercially viable.”

Through her work, she empowers founders to craft stronger business models, secure early partnerships, de-risk their technology, and ultimately bring their climate solutions to market. She’s also bridging the gap between corporates and startups, encouraging cross-sector collaboration that fuels systemic change.

HER Advice: Resilience, Perspective, and Purpose

The journey of a climate entrepreneur is no easy path. But Natalie believes that resilience, humility, and clarity of purpose are what set successful founders apart.

“The most inspiring founders I work with are those who never give up. They’re constantly learning, pivoting, and growing. They know their weaknesses and they’re not afraid to ask for help.”

She also emphasizes the importance of taking a step back and seeing the bigger picture. “When you’re in the weeds, it’s easy to forget why you started. But stepping back helps you course-correct, realign, and make smarter decisions.”
